Colby Capital, LLC is a commercial real estate development company led by Tyler Oliver. Tyler invests in retail property both near and far from our Overland Park, Kansas, base. Our commercial real estate team is interested in selling and buying a range of retail and commercial-use buildings and properties, completing about 60 transactions yearly. We partner with TopGolf and Dollar general, serving as preferred developer for Dollar General in six states.
Dollar General Partnership:
As a preferred development partner for Dollar General stores, we execute site selection, land acquisition, and store development. During the course of a 12 year partnership with Dollar General, we have created a complete and efficient development process. We work with skilled architects, general contractors and the corporate Dollar General team to achieve results. These strong partnerships have allowed us to develop over 250 locations.

ABOUT
TYLER OLIVER
Tyler Oliver has spent over 30 years in the commercial real estate world, focusing on retail real estate, developing, purchasing, and leasing retail shopping centers.
After completing his Marketing degree at Kansas State University, Tyler began his career with Dennis J. Eskie and Associates, a Kmart developer based in Kansas City. There, Tyler worked in site selection and land assemblage for various Kmart developments throughout the United States. Tyler spent several years at Dennis J. Eskie and Associates leasing retail projects and representing retail tenants throughout Kansas City.
In 1995, Tyler relocated to Washington, D.C. and joined The Mills Corporation. He joined the leasing department at The Mills and was assigned to work on the new and existing super-regional mall projects in Florida, Texas, Virginia and Illinois. In 1997 at the age of 29, Tyler, along with Douglas Henzlik, formed Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Companies, LLC. In the early years of Henzlik-Oliver, Tyler focused on representing national retailers with their site selection in Kansas City. Retailers such as Home Depot, Just for Feet, Orscheln Farm & Home, and others have been clients.
Tyler founded Colby Capital, LLC in 2014. He continues to purchase and manage properties both in the Kansas City-metro and throughout the country. Colby Capital, LLC is a preferred developer for Dollar General. We've developed over 200 stores in Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, South Dakota, North Dakota, and have recently expanded into Colorado. Tyler also focuses on acquiring, developing, and redeveloping shopping centers throughout the United States. Tyler has had ownership in over 37 retail projects in nine states.

Jeannie Whitenack
Chief Administrative Officer
Jeannie has been in the real estate industry for over 25 years, beginning in residential real estate. She managed a RE/MAX office of 50+ agents and staff. She then went on to Prudential where she was a licensed agent working with a team that closed upwards of 75 transactions annually.
The last 19 years she has worked side by side with Tyler Oliver. She is an officer for the company, managing all aspects of the office and staff. But her main focus is handling all of Colby Capital’s transactions. From contract to closing, she seamlessly closes upwards of 50 transactions per year. Jeannie also plays an integral role in the development and delivery of the firm’s Dollar General business. She is dedicated to providing excellent results for all parties involved in a transaction. Jeannie also has an in depth knowledge of property management, accounting, and project management.
